About Meng, Your Mandarin Tutor

I was born in Singapore to parents from China, and I learned Mandarin at school there. I grew up hearing Cantonese and Hokkien at home, and I have lived in the UK for more than 30 years.

I speak Mandarin and English fluently, so I understand the parts of Mandarin that English speakers find hard, especially tones and pronunciation.

I teach simplified characters and pinyin, the system most learners use today. My lessons are relaxed, patient and one-to-one.
